Daily routine maintenance - It's a good idea to separate the extensions by running your fingers through them every day, to make sure the hair moves freely and that the hair falls naturally. Washing - To shampoo, wet the hair ideally in the shower, tipping the head back. Apply shampoo and squeeze through from the roots to the ends. Only use gentle stroke, try to avoid any scrubbing motions as this can make the hair tangle. Rinse thoroughly. To condition the hair, apply conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends, Rinse thoroughly. Drying - when drying the hair do not rub or use vigorous actions. It's important to make sure the whole head is dried but pay particular attention to the scalp and bonds. Brushing - Use a loop or bristle brush, these have been designed to glide over the bonds without damaging or pulling them. Start at the ends and work your way up using gentle strokes. Styling - you can style your hair just as you would your own hair. It's a good idea to apply stylingproducts before and after blow drying to help protect the hair, but avoid getting products on thebonds, only apply from mid-lengths to the ends. Also try to avoid excessive heat, instead opt formedium temperature straightening and curling irons. Sleeping - When going to bed, it is recommended that the hair is pulled back with a soft scrunchie in to a ponytail or small plait to keep from getting tangled. Swimmimg - Sea and chlorine can affect the hair, so make sure to tie the hair back loosely to avoid tangling, wash it as soon as you come out and dry the hair straight away.
