Adolf Schreyer was a German artist associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting and German Romanticism. Known for his depictions of Bedouin men, Schreyer learned Arabic while living in Algiers, Egypt, and Syria, where he became immersed in Bedouin customs and way of life as an official war artist.

Published in "Harper's Weekly" 1882. This is a genuine 132 years old antique wood-cut engraving. Sheet size 16” x 11”.  In excellent condition, very clean sheet, See Photos for close up details. This is an original print not a reproduction.
